Twenty-something, baby boomer, senior citizen or as young as 8-years old, The Dive Shed will have you diving in next to no time.

Where to start

Your first step to becoming an SSI certified diver might start with an Intro to Scuba diving or any of The Dive Shed’s beginner programs. They include:

1. Intro to Scuba (12 and over)
   This is a try before you buy course. A qualified instructor personally leads you underwater so you can experience diving.
2. Scuba Rangers (8 – 12 years of age)
3. Junior Open Water (12 – 15 years of age)
4. Open Water (15+ to seniors)

We have 3 open water courses to choose from:

Basic open water diver............. $525.00

Open water diver PLUS .............$585.00 #inc. total log system

Open water diver Advanced PLUS.$780.00 #inc.total log system

#4 extra boat dives

Once certified, you can specialise in diving skills that interest you or work toward higher diving certification.

 

Turning professional

Most people turn professional or semi professional because they want to work in the dive industry. Many combine travelling with diving work. The minimum qualification you’ll need to work in the dive industry is Master Diver. As a “DM” (Master Diver) you’ll be qualified to assist Instructors on charters. If you want to lead dive charters and/or instruct, you need your DiveCon and/or Open Water Instructor certification.

Purely recreational

Not everyone wants to turn a sport they love into a career. However, by ensuring your skills are up to date, diving continues to serve you a lifetime of healthy fun and enjoyment.
