If ever you’ve wanted to make like a fish, Scuba Rangers is for you!

Scuba Rangers is a way cool safe sport for kids.

The Scuba Ranger course is taught over 5 pool sessions by The Dive Shed’s highly skilled SSI Scuba Rangers instructors. Scuba Rangers learn how to safely operate a scuba unit, learn responsibility on and below the water, and how to swim underwater using a scuba unit.

Scuba Rangers is NOT a certification course. Scuba Rangers cannot go scuba diving without a Scuba Ranger Instructor. But that doesn’t mean the fun stops there.

By joining the Scuba Rangers Kids Club, young divers participate in fun diving games in the pool, and take part in community based projects that care for our local marine environment.

Scuba Rangers assist kids to:

• accomplish something different to their friends
• develop common sense around the water
• increase their awareness of water safety
• build confidence, self-esteem and pride in themselves

The Dive Shed can arrange Scuba Ranger courses for schools, clubs or community groups.

Prerequisites

• must be aged between 8 and 12
• signed parental or legal guardian consent
• willing to have fun, play games, help each other and act like a fish

Your SSI Scuba Ranger course includes:

• registration and instruction fees
• SSI Scuba Ranger Certification
• SSI Scuba Ranger kit
• pool fees and fear hire
  

You need to organise:

• mask, fins, snorkel and wetsuit (or hire from The Dive Shed)
• transport to and from the pool
• 4 passport size photos
