SSI Underwater Photographer Diver Course

The advent of digital photography and affordable underwater housings has made underwater photography accessible to every diver, not just the dedicated enthusiast.

From happy digital snapper to serious 35mm photographer with flash light tentacles and battery packs, The Dive Shed’s Underwater Photographer course caters for you.

Skilled Dive Shed SSI instructors will help you learn and practice a variety of techniques, such as the principles of taking good photographs, managing buoyancy control, camera care and maintenance, selecting subject matter and composition and more. The accompanying textbook and DVD makes learning the home-study theory as easy as 1-2-3.

Now you can share your underwater adventures with fellow divers, family and friends.

The course runs over 2 days. Please contact us for dates and locations for these courses. You may wish to combine your Photography Diver course with another SSI specialty course, wreck diving for example. If you prefer to get a group of friends together we will plan a course to suit your individual needs.

Prerequisites

• Open Water certification
• minimum 15 years of age
• current diving medical
• 12 logged dives (post Open Water certification)

• film development or photo print paper, blank CDs or DVDs
• equipment (hire or buy it from The Dive Shed)
• 2 passport photographs
