SSI Night & Limited Visibility Diving Course

What strange and fascinating creatures lurk at the end of your torch beam, besides your dive buddy?!

For some divers the thought of a night dive makes them want run across water for land. Others rise to the thrill. The thing is, after sunset, the daytime marine life punches out and the night crew takes over. A fascinating nocturnal world displays itself at the end of your torch beam. A world you cannot see while diving the same site during the day is just one of the many attractions to night diving. Night diving also teaches you the skills required to dive in limited visability conditions and stay in control.
The Dive Shed’s Night Diver course is lead by high qualified SSI instructors. During the practical night dive sessions, all divers are fitted with tank beacons. To fish, night divers must look like lines of traffic - red tail lights and white headlights. The accompanying textbook and DVD makes learning the home-study theory as easy as 1-2-3.

The course runs over 1 day and 2 nights. Please contact The Dive Shed for dates and locations for these courses. You may wish to combine your Night Diver course with another SSI specialty course. If you prefer to get a group of friends together we will plan a course to suit your individual needs.

Prerequisites

• Open Water certification
• minimum 15 years of age
• current dive medical
• 12 logged open water dives (or Advance Open Water certification)
