SSI Boat Diver
Dive Course navigator:
How often a boat is used to access a dive site depends on where you live and dive. If you’ve mainly reached dive sites from the shore, then diving from a boat might be new to you. In that case, the Boat Diver course will teach you the rules to follow when on a boat, not unlike learning road rules. Understanding boat etiquette means everyone on board knows how to act and where to be when and with what gear when. The course will also teach you the difference between port and starboard, the gallery, bridge and more.
No one wants to be the on board klutz. Learn to be boat savvy with the fun, friendly Dive Shed Team.
SSI Drysuit Diver
Not all water boasts balmy temperatures. If you’re into diving underground caves, lakes or very cold water a thick semi-dry is NOT going to stop you from edging into hypothermia. Wearing a drysuit, however, will keep you warm when diving in very cold water, plus protect you from surface wind chill. Using a drysuit is not as simple as ‘slipping’ into your semi-dry. The Dive Shed’s SSI Drysuit Diver course teaches you to use your drysuit safely and maintain it correctly.
Don’t let extreme cold water stop you from diving. Learn to use a drysuit.
SSI Gas Blending
The Dive Shed’s SSI Gas Blending course is intended to explain the standards, properties, equipment, oxygen safety, handling and cleaning procedures for mixing and blending Oxygen and Nitrogen. Becoming a certified gas blended will make you a valuable asset to any diver centre, retail outlet, or dive group worldwide.
